It's been a few episodes since I've done a blog on Smallville. So I thought to catch up, I would just throw some things out there that I like and dislike about the whole season so far. We are about 5 episodes in, as of this writing, and what a roller coaster ride this has been.

Each blog I've talked about one thing all the time, the love story of Lois & Clark. Indeed it's picking up, as we didn't really see much interest from Clark but Lois was showing the signs. Last week's episode saw the switch-a-roo. Lois said, on a lie detector, that she loved Clark and passed! Then by episode's end, Lois turned it around on Clark and made it like she had no interest, but then we saw a brief glimpse that Clark may indeed be interested in Lois afterall. In Smallville, a love story that hasn't been close to a peak after 5 episodes is huge, that's why I'm loving it. It's not rushed!

Speaking of love stories, this season seems to be nothing but love! Chloe & Jimmy are married, and now we're seeing a thing between Oliver and Tess develop that apparently isn't the first time. It's good to see more love than war going on in the show, it's definitely a fresh take in the Smallville universe.

Doomsday wasn't a rushed villain either, as we're finally going to see some dark parts from Davis. A few episodes back we got a visual of him naked in an alley on the ground, in pain and it than started to rain with lightning & thunder. They steered away from progressing it for an episode or two, but now they showed a dark side again. I'm not complaining about the speed to progress this one either, it's perfectly paced.

Come to think about it, there aren't a whole lot of things that I dislike about this season so far. Chloe & Jimmy were tested for their love, and passed with flying colors so no worries about the possible Chloe/Davis story going on like I feared.

If things go to plan, this weekend I'll do another Smallville Top 5. I'm thinking my favorite Top 5 Superman Teasers or something like that.
