I thought I'd kick things off on my Smallville blog with a Top 5 Favorite Episodes listing. I'll give a screen shot from the episode, a quick synopsis, and thoughts starting with #5 going all the way to #1.
Favorite #5: "Heat"
In the episode "Heat", Clark realizes that he has the ability to shoot fire from his eyes after during a hot summer day he gets aroused in class from a super sexy teacher. The teacher was played by the sexy Krista Allen, and I like the episode for two reasons... Clark learns a new ability, one that is huge in the Superman mythology, and of course because of Krista Allen.
Favorite #4: "Obsession"
"Obsession" is a good episode, because Clark is forced to use his powers to get him and a girl from school out of a stalled elevator. The girl has teleportation powers, and she & Clark hit it off until she gets an obession with him. There's a real hot scene in the episode where she breaks into Clark's room, and they are about to f*** until Martha & Jonathon check on Clark. Pretty good episode because Clark uses his powers in front of somebody, and he shows the one of the rare moments that he can confide in somebody about his origins & powers.
Favorite #3: "Crusade"
This was one of the best episodes in terms of advancing and teasing the Superman mythology. Clark returns from Krypton, and is found in a field by Lois Lane. Clark says his name is Kal-El, and he actually flies in the episode. However at the end, Martha uses some kryptonite to bring Clark back from Kal-El, and Clark says Kal-El flies, and he doesn't. Just the idea of Clark being able to fly, the introduction of Lois Lane, and the usage of the name Kal-El makes this episode a true classic.
Favorite #2: "Justice"
Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow, assembles a group of individuals with special powers to help take down one of Lex Luthor's many labs. In this group are Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, Green Arrow and Superman. Of course they use their real names instead of the aliases, but it's just a badass episode. It also plants in Clark's mind that not only should he be doing good in just Smallville, but that the world is in need of a hero.
Favorite #1: "Reckoning"
My all time favorite Smallville episode, because it involves the death of Jonathon Kent. I know that sounds very harsh, but the reason why it's a good thing is it progresses the Superman mythology to a whole new level. Clark has learned as much as he could from his father, and now with the passing of Jonathon, Clark must show that he can make decisions on his own. He now has to choose his path from the good that his father taught him, and becomes a man. It also shows the love that Clark has for Lana, as he used the power of Jor-El to rewind time to save her.
So that about does it, my five all time favorite episodes of Smallville. If you have any suggestions for any new Smallville blogs, let me know peeps.
